Running average, what is the best way to set it up in Jedox ?

Would it be via a hierarchy or via a rule setup ?

Would it be possible to advise on a rule setup on running average ?

Hi Martin,

you can do it via rule. I am attaching a picture of how it can look.

SO whenever you add a number, the base day date average is recalculated.
I hope this is what your question was about.

Thank you for your solution. I was more looking for a generic setup, that can be used across all amount calculations, so within the time dimension.

I have found a solution, supported by Time Editor, to generate Rolling Month setup as R03, R06, R09 and R12, see attached screen print

For the average part of R03, R06, R09 and R12, I was thinking of building that into the report directly dividing with value(right(month,2))
